I have recently completed my MA in Psychology with Dr. Ryan Fitzgerald at Simon Fraser University. I am now working as a Psychology Lab Supervisor at Capilano University, where I can combine both my love for teaching and also my research skills that I've acquired through my graduate degree.
I am currently working as a Lab Supervisor for the Department of Psychology at Capilano University. My role involves developing the lab into a space that supports students in learning research skills and building community within the department. I also run experiential learning workshops for students and serve as am an administrator for the university's research participant pool (SONA).
I am currently assisting my supervisor with his grant research project in developing study protocol and organizing study materials.
I am currently working as a teaching assistant for a first year introductory psychology course. My responsibilities include marking weekly assignments and exams, and organizing exam review sessions in-person.
Supervisor: Dr. Jason Plaks, Department of Psychology Final Mark: 94 -Helped recruit participants (60+) for our study on social cognition (using software like E-Prime and Qualtrics) and gathered enough data for analysis -Completed a 11-page literature review on willpower and aging research over the years -Kept meticulous records of monetary compensation, consent forms, and debrief forms
-Facilitated new member recruitment and served on the audition panel (50+ auditions each year) -Organized two concert events at Burdock Music Hall and sold 50+ tickets for each concert
