    • Office Manager/Accountant/HR Representative
      Jan 2012 - Dec 2012 · 1 yr

I do all the accounting functions expected with a small company. I handle all AR, AP, and Payroll responsibilities. I handle reconciliations of credit cards and bank accounts. Quarterly and annual accounting tasks are also handled by me. Special projects I have completed include budgeting, gathering information for audits and loan applications, and many other special projects. I have recently been very involved in implementing a new payroll system, and new 401k plan, and also new health and life insurance for the employees, which required much time involved in meetings and research, along with employee follow up questions and concerns. I am a very efficient worker and find myself with free time often, so I help other departments with data entry and RMA receiving.

  • Controller at MVI Field Services LLC
    Oct 2010 - Mar 2012 · 1 yr 6 mos

I was with this company from its inception. I helped get it off its feet with the hiring process for other employees, banking information, and setting up the accounting books from scratch. I handled all aspects of accounting while I was employed by MVI. I handled all HR issues that arrose, including setting up health, dental, and life insurance for the employees. The company was restructured at the end of 2011 and wanted me to move to Nashville to continue with my employment. While this would have been a great career opportunity for me, I felt that I needed to remain in Madison. I officially left the company at the end of 2011, but stayed on as a consultant for months afterward to train the new employees that were taking over my job duties.

  • Accountant at Titan Management Group LLC
    Nov 2005 - Sep 2010 · 4 yrs 11 mos

This is the company that really started me in the accounting field. I learned a lot while employed by Titan and really enjoyed my time there. Since it was a small company, I wore many hats. I handled the HR related issues along with all accounting tasks that came along. Titan wanted me to relocate to another state permanently and I decided against it.
