Cristina Mitre is a journalist, speaker and writer, author of the award winning blog "The Beauty Mail" (www.cristinamitre.com) and the "Podcast de Cristina Mitre” (ranked as the most popular beauty, health and fitness podcast in Spain). She has published two successful books: "Mujeres que corren" (7 editions in Spain, also published in Chinese and Portuguese) and "Correr es vivir a tope de power". Founder of “Mujeres Que Corren”, a social engagement community aimed at promoting running amongst women while raising funds for child leukaemia (proyectocorre.org) - more info at www.mujeresquecorren.es / www.mulheresquecorren.com. Cristina is regularly invited as a speaker at conferences and has participated as a TEDx speaker. As a result of her work promoting sport amongst women, she was a member of the prestigious 2016 Premio Princesa de Asturias de los Deportes jury. In 2017 she wrote the script and starred in the documentary Mujeres que Corren, narrating the history and evolution of sports amongst women in Spain. The documentary received the prestigious Lili Alvarez award for promoting inclusion and sports amongst women. Recently, Cristina won the 2020 Personalised Precision Medicine Journalism award from the Roche Foundation Institute in its 7th edition.
