I was a Senior Product Manager for the Medianet (Video) Project within Cisco. I was responsible for product management of the client side SDK which involved building the product from scratch using Agile as the software development methodology from the outset. The role also involved field and channel sales engagement as well as direct customer interaction. The role required extensive cross group collaboration and I successfully drove the integration of the SDK into 6 distinct product lines which is still a unique achievement at Cisco. In addition to core product management I was responsible for driving key solutions within the architecture. These included driving mobile video solutions for enterprise wireless and service provider cellular deployments. This involved driving solution requirements, collaborating across various internal development groups, executive communication and ultimately responsibility for executing the solutions. In the last 3 years of the program my role developed into a business development position. I successfully created the 3rd party management program which included engineering, marketing and business frameworks for the integration of the SDK into 3rd party devices. I successfully executed the licensing of the SDK to 3rd party partners and put in place the platform for future marketing and sales enablement.
