Responsible for all commercial functions at the Port covering business development, commercial, customer management and marketing. Retain personal responsibility for the Renewables activities and associated business development in addition to the wider duties.
Leading overall business development for the Port and managing the BD team to attract and secure new opportunities in line with the Ports vision and strategy. Personally focused on the Renwables and Offshore related markets. Originally hired to fulfil Commercial Director role for the Renewables and Offshore related part of the business and have since taken on wider scope.
Overall responsibility for the Offshore Logistics (CTV's, SOV's, Heli's) delivery in the Service and O&M part of the business. This scope ranged from sales and chartering through to the management of the fleet in operations and included managing a team of 15 high performance employees across 6 countries. Fully responsible for a chartered fleet of ~70 vessels and aircraft per year.
Advising clients on loss prevention and technical matters relating to vessel operations, QHSE, cargo queries, rule / regulations updates etc. Assisted in the implementation of threat and consequence analysis. Producing weekly bulletins, contributing to technical reports and instructions. Assist and cover for the Ship Inspection manager, appoint surveyors, review vessel survey reports, collate feedback, punch lists and coordinate the subsequent close out with the vessel owner.
Deck Officer working onboard DP vessels carrying out a range of Offshore projects including cable installation (Power and Fibre Optic), cable repair, ROV survey, trenching, ploughing etc.
