Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
I am a print, packaging, and visual communications professional with over 30 years of experience operating at the intersection of creative execution, sales strategy, and production infrastructure. My career has been defined by an ability to translate complex ideas into tangible, high-quality outputs that drive commercial results. Formally trained as a Visual Communicator at Alberta University of the Arts, I have worked across major North American markets including Calgary, Metro Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, and Vancouver Island. This experience has provided exposure to both multinational organizations requiring integrated, large-scale solutions and independent brands seeking differentiated, high-impact creative execution. Throughout my career, I have consistently focused on bridging the gap between concept and production—aligning design, manufacturing, and go-to-market strategy to deliver measurable value. My approach is grounded in accountability, adaptability, and a solutions-first mindset: Whatever it Takes + There is Always a Way. Currently, I am developing Sovereign Layer, a Canadian-led platform focused on advanced print and data systems. The objective is to modernize traditional connected infrastructure layers — linking physical products to digital intelligence across supply chains and customer touchpoints. This includes applications in product authentication, inventory visibility, regulatory compliance, and enhanced consumer engagement. Sovereign Layer is positioned to serve both commercial and institutional markets, with relevance across retail, food systems, logistics, and defence-adjacent applications. The long-term vision is to establish a scalable, domestic capability in intelligent physical readiness and data integration — supporting Canadian innovation while competing in global markets. I am focused on building ventures that combine operational discipline with forward-looking technology, creating durable value in industries undergoing transformation.
A Division of Sovereign Industries Inc., an Alberta, Canada Company. Sovereign Layer aligns very well with the current direction of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, Public Services and Procurement Canada, the new Defence Investment Agency, and the operational needs of the Canadian Armed Forces. Canada’s updated industrial approach is explicitly moving toward sovereign control, resilient domestic supply chains, Canadian industrial capacity, stronger SME participation, dual-use innovation, and more outcome-oriented industrial benefits.
