As an officer of the company, responsible for the safety, quality, cost, delivery, and co-worker engagement of all four production facilities both in Lancaster, PA and Williamsport, PA. In addition to leading the plant managers I also had the Director of Facilities Engineer & the Chief Technical Planner reporting to me. The team quickly had success with a PennDot emergency Bridge Project in Harrisburg, PA at Interstate 81. My team met the accelerated schedule task, and proudly displayed hardhat stickers developed one day in my office that read "I81 Git-R-Done". Building on its OSHA VPP Star Site status and recertification in 2014, and the 2015 "Take Two" for safety phrase coined one day in my office, this team led High Steel to the best year ever in 2016 with Safety as measured by OSHA Recordable Incident Rate and OSHA Severity Rate. This team hired and trained over 200 co-workers in a three-year span. Additionally, in 2016, this team delivered the best co-worker satisfaction survey results for High Steel Manufacturing since participating in this Sirota survey. This team also exceeding expectations with the quality, cost, and delivery targets of the largest High Industries project - The TappanZee Bridge - in its history. Lastly, in 2016 the team continued its run of hitting annual budget targets by hitting its overall flex $65 Million operating budget.

As an officer of the company, responsible for the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale of 5 precast concrete facilities located in Denver PA, Springboro OH, Buena NJ, Williamsport PA, and Paxton IL. Directly led 4 plant managers who served a supervisory and support staff organization of over 700 co-workers. My additional direct reports included a master scheduler, QC Manager, and Logistics Manager. Through the use of Lean tools, metrics, accountability, and team building this organization: Reduced the OSHA recordable rate by two thirds, and won the annual High Industries President's Award for Safety; Reduced quality defects by 68%; Improved Mfg DL efficiencies by 16%; Reduced overtime by 42%; Achieve the flexed operating budget. Also, during the 2008/2009 economic downturn I, along with the plant manager, provided the sad news to plant co-workers at Paxton, IL and Buena, NJ that we were shuttering those operations.
