I’ve been working steadily since I was sixteen years old. During the first half of my working life I worked a variety of restaurants & country clubs as a server & a waiter-captain in fine dining environments, and later I switched over to the hospitality industry as a supervisor & a manager for Marriott. I worked as a self-employed computer repair person for about a year, and then I started working as a chemical dependency counselor for the next twenty years. I stopped doing that about four years ago, and shifted gears again. This time I began working for UPS in their import brokerage department, as an administrative assistant. In 2020 I had some health issues crop up that rendered me unemployable for a while. I had a stroke that required me to seek out hospitalization & physical therapy. I’ve regained all of my cognitive abilities, but I still can’t walk as well as I’d like to, so that’s why I’m looking for a “work from home” job & that’s why I have a gap in my employment history. I hope that answers any lingering questions you may have about my employability.
Resolving customer issues via phone & email support.
Assisted international customers with getting their shipments to their destinations. This was accomplished primarily via email & phone support. Also, did a lot of data entry & manifested flights out of the Worldport facility.
My duties included, but were not limited to: obtaining psycho-social assessments; conducting individual & group therapy on assigned cases; complete documentation per JADAC policy and procedure; case coordination; coordinate discharge planning; assist in developing and maintaining community resource information; perform marketing functions as assigned; assist in the maintenance of the program environment in compliance with policies of safety and security; ensure good clinical judgment to ensure optimum patient care; case management duties; curriculum development; teach classes to clients & their families; conduct intake interviews; participate in an interdisciplinary treatment team; data entry; phone support; participate in continuing education activities, and a variety of other duties.
