Working for Executive Project Management, Reporting to senior project managers, 28km of Mountain running tunnels, constructed using drill & blast method. Overseeing contractors constructing drill and blast portals, tunnels and shafts, for rail tunnels on the NEOM project. Constructed all pre tunnelling asphalt service rods including drainage, signage etc Deep excavations including overseeing of temporary works Shotcrete SME, overseeing the construction and commissioning of concrete/shotcrete batch plants and overseeing trials to approve mix designs. Review of contractor’s methodologies, ITPs and material submittals, ensuring compliance with the relevant specifications and standards. Oversaw the Construction of a 3000 person labour camp, major roads and concrete batching plants etc. Raising NCRs/FCRs/RFIs and TQs when required. Liaising with the designer, client and contractors.
Reporting to Senior PM. Management for the principal contractor/client overseeing the tier 1 contractor works. (NEC3 contract). Managing interfaces between various civils contractors. Overseeing and presentation of daily shift reports plus collating information relating to incidents NCRs, etc. Approval of contractors’ method statements, risk assessments etc. Overseeing the excavation of 2Million cubic metres of rock including rock bolts, ground anchors and associated shotcrete Attend daily SRG/RESS meetings, discussing issues arising and developing solutions. Implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Collaborating with Project Managers and commercial dept. with EWNs, compensation events, disallowed costs etc. Quality control inspections and ensuring all quality assurance documentation is in place and completed. Complete safety inspections, planned, reactive and trend based. Marine Tunnels for water cooling system. Bulk excavation, piling and SCL slope support and nailing. TBM launch adit construction, shove frame installation. 3 x Earth Pressure Balance TBM drives under the Bristol Channel, 2 x Intake Tunnels of 3.5kn 6.2m internal diameter, 1 x Outfall Tunnel of 1.8kn, 7m internal diameter. Quality control of segmental lining, including reinforcement cover checks, crack inspection and repair, lips and step recording, NCRs raised as and when required. Tail skin brush replacement. TBM strip out, dismantling and removal. TBM heads and shields concreted in as per environmental design under the Bristol Channel. Segmental and SCL shafts. Working with designers on developing methodology to connect TBM segmental tunnel to shafts lining drilled through intake heads on the seabed, using ground treatment and SCL methodology. Heavy civil engineering including large reinforced concrete pours, Road building, deep excavation, dewatering etc.
Supervision of shotcrete works in platforms and galleries. Reviewing and ensuring operatives are briefed on RAMS. Ensuring all safety procedures/measures are in place and adhered to at all times. Organization of plant and materials. Provide training/guidance/assistance where required. Engaging in weekly and monthly Health and safety tours.
Reporting to the Tunnel Senior Construction Manager. Managed a team of engineers Composing of RAMS and all pertaining documentation. Construction of 35 cross passages using NATM techniques. Secondary lined using shutter and pour. Slope stabilization in station boxes, shotcrete and rock bolts/soil nails. Drainage installation in station boxes. Construction of reinforced concrete slabs for tracks in running tunnels. Complete safety inspections with H&S team. Ensure safety rules and exclusion zones are adhered to at all times. Organizing logistics of plant/materials. Liaising with client/inspectors. Attend meetings to discuss progress and safety of work.
