As a freelance copyeditor and content writer, I produce or polish media content for digital, often fast moving, publications. Profane is an annually print literary magazine that publishes "an eclectic mix of poetry, essays, and stories." Responsibilities: --- Assess poetry, fiction, art, and creative nonfiction submissions for publication.
Founded in 1984, Gamerstable RPG produces podcasts for gamers and science fiction/fantasy enthusiasts. Podcasts include original RPG play-throughs, radio dramas, and pop culture discussions. Responsibilities: --- Accurately copyedit podcast stories and scripts in distance setting on MS Word with Track Changes.
Bayou Magazine is a nationally-recognized literary magazine, published biannually by The University of New Orleans. They publish fiction, poetry, nonfiction, art, and the winner of their several contests. Responsibilities: --- Assessed poetry submissions for publication. Achievements: --- Developed unique blog series Almae Matres, featuring women writers writing about women. --- Networked to find best possible contributors for series, including award-winning poets and novelists. --- Served on judging panel for Kay Murphy Prize.
