• Perform archival processing for backlogged and new collection material according to current standards and best practices. • Create finding aids according to DACS, utilizing ArchivesSpace. • Upload finding aids to OAC, and create MARC records for OCLC. • Facilitate workflows for the digitization of high-priority materials for preservation. • Develop policy for acquisition of born-digital materials. • Oversee record transfers from Metro departments as well as outside donations. • Coordinate with Records Management to review material set for destruction under records retention schedule, for possible accession into archives. • Coordinate with Design Studio to establish workflow for transfer of company-produced media to archives. • Coordinate with Art department for the creation of public exhibits utilizing historical Archives material. • Assist Communications with event planning, particularly for Metro Anniversary events. • Assist with Library duties, including reference requests, daily Library operations, updating catalog records and identifying new materials to acquire in accordance with collection development policy. • Manage all still and moving-image license releases utilizing archival material. • Utilize social media to promote Library and Archives material and work. • Support needs of Metro staff by performing research and providing access to collection materials. • Manage and oversee college undergraduate interns, including a full review and update of the "Intern Manual." • Act as intermediary between Library and Records Management. • Updated Archives operational documents to reflect current policy and procedures, according to archival best practices. • Performed a thorough inventory of archival holdings upon first arrival, in order to establish collection scope and to determine priority schedule for processing significant backlog. • Improved access to archival materials by entering hand-written collection notes into searchable database.
