Manage unit safety program and investigate any safety incidents resulting in loss of work time or damage in excess of $10,000.
Managed property in excess of $67 million; eliminated outdated equipment and improved procurement procedures for new equipment, resulting in over $100k in savings to the government. Coordinated with only a month’s notice the movement of $60 million worth of equipment from the United States to Poland in the first-ever deployment of heavy combat equipment to the region for Operation Atlantic Resolve. Streamlined the logistics operations for maintaining 14 tanks and 10 support vehicles in austere conditions while deployed to Poland leading to seven-day quicker parts delivery. Organized 23 multinational training exercises between Polish, British, Canadian and American units. Increasing interoperability and cultural understanding between western and Polish forces.
Supervised the training of 16 new soldiers out of basic training into combat-ready soldiers who went on to be recognized during deployments to National Training Center and Poland. Planned over 100 small unit missions, preparing an inexperienced platoon for a myriad operations in austere environments; including being recognized by the Commanding General of III Corps. Directed the Company Environmental and Safety programs, leading to no work-related environmental or safety incidents and no time lost due to soldier injury. Mentored a diverse platoon of soldiers from many different backgrounds and of varying experience inspiring six soldiers to attend college, a goal that they previously viewed as unattainable.
