About

Cornelia is an aspiring actuary with hands-on experience across actuarial audit, financial reporting and impact modelling. She has a strong track record of solving complex challenges and an excellent attention to detail. In her current role as an Actuarial Analyst, she is focusing on implementing a RAS calculation tool to improve the efficiency of value-impact assessment. Cornelia earned a First-Class Honours degree in Actuarial Science and Risk Management from Queen’s University Belfast, awarded for the Queen’s Excellence Award and recognised as the Best-Performing Student in Actuarial Modelling. Her academic journey provided a strong grounding in statistical modelling and a perspective on how actuarial work can create future impact. Previously, at PwC Ireland, Cornelia supported the planning and fieldwork for seven actuarial audit engagements across a range of insurers. She conducted regulatory change analyses, performed detailed reviews of life actuarial assumptions, assessed reserving methodologies, and contributed to drafting Head of Actuarial Function (HoAF) reports. Cornelia also volunteered at Garuda Hacks as Sponsorship Director, where she led the partnership function to ensure smooth sponsor fulfilment. Beyond her professional role, Cornelia loves to explore and travel, learn new things, cook, and stay active through badminton and running. She is motivated by roles where data and judgement meet impact—bringing modelling, problem-solving and teamwork together to help organisations make better, future-focused decisions.
