  • Digitalisation and Electromechanical Manager at COLAS
    Mar 2020 - Jan 2024 · 3 yrs 11 mos

Building a World-Class Testing Facility for BMW: My Role as Electromechanical Department Head This project involved creating a comprehensive testing facility with diverse terrains and weather simulations. I oversaw the installation of:  Testing Tracks: High-speed banked circuits, country roads, cityscapes, and autobahn replicas, along with precision testing areas for various driving scenarios.  Support Systems: Mechanical irrigation for rain, flooding, and low-friction surfaces, plus a water management system for efficiency.  Electrical Systems: A 22kV power grid, low-voltage distribution, and a fiber optic network for monitoring and control.  Safety & Security: Traffic management, CCTV, Wi-Fi, perimeter security, and public lighting.  EV Charging: Fast charging stations and Hyperchargers throughout the site. Leading the Way in Efficiency and Technology:  Accelerated handover of key testing areas using temporary solutions.  Implemented digital tools for project management, reporting, and document control.  Utilized 3D modeling (BIM) for better planning, clash detection, and construction workflows.  Employed drone surveys to track progress and calculate earthwork quantities.
