About

I help teams adopt generative AI in ways that actually stick. That means turning “cool demo” into repeatable workflows: prompt frameworks, evaluation habits, lightweight agent workflows, training, and practical guardrails that keep quality high and risk low. At TechnologyAdvice, I founded and led the company’s inaugural AI Committee, built upskilling programs for different roles, and hold twice-weekly office hours to troubleshoot real-world use cases across the business (from editorial to revenue to operations). I also co-created and co-host The Neuron AI Explained and edit The Neuron daily newslette, roles that keep me close to what’s shipping, what’s hype, and what breaks in practice. My background is journalism + philosophy: I’m trained to interrogate claims, spot missing evidence, pressure-test reasoning, and communicate clearly under deadline. In AI work, that translates into a superpower: reliability. I’m great at getting better outputs from models and getting better outcomes from teams. As a journalist, my passion has long been for disruptive technology: artificial intelligence, AR/VR/XR, AIoT. I've covered city councils, managed a crime beat, worked local government, covered some of the biggest rock n roll acts in the world, authored a 3-day per week MLB column and accompanying blog. I covered the St. Louis Cardinals on a regular basis since 2011-2015, including two World Series and three postseasons. I always worked to find the story beyond the box score or the stage, specifically in the form of features and columns. It's about finding the creative angle that hasn't already been told. I am deadline focused and capable of juggling multiple tasks at once. I've always felt the primary job of any journalist is to be capable of becoming an expert on any subject in less than an hour—whether it be professional hockey or the flow rates for a sewer lift station. I've always prided myself in this ability. I'm capable of working a beat well and developing sources, something that has led to a variety of quality enterprise journalism-style pieces.
