Assisted in developing and launching the Connecticut Urban Forest Network for Equity & Resilience. Based in New Haven, I partnered with communities and local non-profits to plan and facilitate tree-planting events, community-to-community learning exchanges, and outreach campaigns that address inequities in local canopy cover. My role blended desk-based research and data analysis—including GIS/GPS mapping and i-Tree Eco benefit modeling—with hands-on field surveys, site visits, and stakeholder meetings. Under the mentorship of TNC’s urban forestry and stewardship teams, I supported program design, drafted reports, shared updates with staff and partners, and continuously built my skills in project management, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration—all to help grow a more equitable, resilient urban forest across Connecticut.
I advocated for policy that meets the scale and urgency of our environmental challenges. I researched environmental legislation and potential electoral candidates in Boston while assisting in large-scale campaign and advocacy efforts. Lastly, I conducted policy analysis and stakeholder research on offshore wind energy development: Mount Holyoke Offshore Wind Awareness Study.
