The Big Bang Collective, comprised of Connie Potter from CERN, Roger Jones from Lancaster University and Chris Thomas from Iowa State University, has been created to facilitate ventures in science communication to reach new audiences. The concept of taking physics to festivals in a fun, engaging way, with a diverse range of exciting talks, live links to extraordinary people and places over the world and hands-on workshops with real scientists, first trialled at WOMAD in 2016, has had such success and the demand for new partnerships is such that the Big Bang Collective, made up of the three key founding individuals, has been formed. Collaborations for 2019 include WOMAD2019, where we are now officially a 'WORLD', Roskilde Festival 2019 and Colours of Ostrava 2019.
