About

I am a recent UBC graduate with a Master's degree in Business Management and a BSc in resource economics. I am very interested in the management and operations of live events, particularly within sporting and live music industries. I have recently worked in a supply procurement and inventory management role at UBC Geering Up, an engineering outreach organization that aims to deliver engaging, educational, and inclusive STEM programs to youth of all backgrounds. Here, I was in charge of ordering materials for hands-on activities and maintaining an inventory of said items. I also tracked, received, and distributed all shipments as well as updated an invoice tracker for financial purposes. I was also involved in the hiring process by screening applications, assisting in conducting interviews and providing input during hiring decision meetings. I have also held an Events Team Lead role with UBC Athletics and Recreation where I was in charge of managing a team of student staff who helped run our on-campus varsity sporting games. Additionally, I assisted with game day prep and ticketing information services, as well as other admin tasks as necessary. In my past positions, I have gained experience with providing excellent customer service in several different contexts including within the food industry, live events, organizational change management initiatives, and IT services. I have, and continue to, enjoy assisting others by providing troubleshooting and problem-solving services and have been able to resolve a variety of issues during my time in customer service positions. I strive to be a versatile and flexible individual capable of working in a multitude of different positions through the application of transferable skills, the ability to learn new processes quickly, and working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams. Furthermore, I strongly believe that having an open mind in terms of a career path leads to unexpected surprises that undoubtedly enrich one’s personal and professional growth.
