Assumed various roles at Optum (part of United Health Group), beginning with Medicare C and D sales as a licensed Health Insurance Producer and continuing with Cigna Dental sales, Maryland Health Exchange Customer Service, Quality (Telesales), group insurance sales and training of new Customer Service Representatives for our Consumer Sales and Services division (Medi/Medi customer service). As a licensed health insurance producer, my primary responsibility was to educate consumers on the various options available to them in health and dental plans, and help them narrow down and enroll in a plan most suitable to their individual needs. In this capacity, I developed expertise in consultative sales. I worked on various projects and accounts; therefore, change was a routine reality in my line of work, one that I wholeheartedly embraced. My main expertise is in Medicare. I have been licensed and appointed in multiple states at any given time, resident licensed in Kentucky.
