In this role, I deal with Wealthsimple's premium and Generational clients. I was also the employee of the month in April for crushing it across all metrics. I handle pending transfer status updates/cancellations, manual transfers (including pensions and partial in-kind), transfer failures/issues, transfer-in/out support when clients can’t self-serve, residual requests, transfer fee reimbursements, DRS questions, and stock gifts/donations.
As an industry mentor for the prestigious CFA Institute Research Challenge hosted by CFA Society East Africa, I am currently mentoring the MKU Team A on the research challenge. Guiding students through equity research fundamentals, including financial statement analysis, valuation techniques (DCF, comparables), and investment thesis development. Supporting the team in structuring professional equity research reports aligned with CFA Institute standards and ethics. Advising on macroeconomic and sector analysis, linking company performance to regional and global market dynamics.
As a member & Volunteer of the University Relations Taskforce, I collaborate with experienced CFA chapterholders volunteers and experienced industry professionals to help coordinate and manage the CFA Institute Research Challenge and Ethics Challenge at the society level. Helped with the Lapsed Campaign Membership project.
During Lovable Shipped, I immersed myself in a 6-week founder-focused program where I took an idea from concept to product. The experience gave me the space to sharpen my passion for building a fintech, investment platform, and community-driven initiatives (Africa-Canadian Financial literacy Community Hub) — all aligned with my mission of creating impactful solutions for both Africa and the diaspora. I also grew my technical and product skills, learning to design, prototype, and launch with modern tools including: Supabase (backend + auth) Spline (3D & UI design) 24dev & Framer (no-code / low-code product building) This program helped me build confidence as a startup builder, strengthened my entrepreneurial mindset, and tied directly into the rest of my journey — combining finance, technology, and community empowerment.
