Operate and manage onboard navigation and communication systems, including radar, GPS, and marine radio, to ensure efficient and secure voyages. Maintain working knowledge of all vessel systems, including fire safety and bilge operations, and respond effectively to emergency situations. Lead and supervise crew members, coordinate daily operations, and deliver reliable transportation service to key destinations such as Fire Island Pines, Cherry Grove, Sailors Haven, and Water Island.
Serve in a senior management role overseeing all marine operations, personnel, and fleet performance. Responsible for the supervision of crew members, coordination of vessel activity, and overall operational efficiency across the organization. Manage a fleet of seven passenger vessels and one freight vessel, ensuring safe, reliable service to four Fire Island destinations. Oversee scheduling of daily routes and charter operations, optimize staffing, and lead hiring and personnel management. Ensure full compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and maritime safety standards. Maintain accountability for the safety of crew, ticketing staff, passengers, and company assets, while upholding high standards of service and operational excellence.
