I am the Flight Safety Manager for SkyBound Rescuer, creating specialised Operating Safety Cases for the use of rescue drones in the fast developing aviation industry.
My innovation coordinator role sees me working from the Dorset BattleLab, developing unique and innovative products to solve problems within the UAV industry. I collaboratively work with the big primes, smaller companies and individuals. Projects are related to the defence, security and commerical environments, where drones can be used to great effect for good.
I am the Senior Trainer at the iRed thermal imaging and drone academy. iRed are an RAE, approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authoirity to train commercial drone pilots. My roles include: • Develop and maintain specialist drone training courses • Develop and maintain e-learning training courses and assessments • Develop and maintain practical assessments • Responsible for the iRed PDRA and Operation Manual • Responsible for reviewing student's Operations Manuals • Responsible for the iRed Operating Safety Case and Operation Manual volumes • Responsible for offering Operating Safety Case consultancy to remote pilots • Responsible for developing new training courses, such as GVC Module 1 • Responsible for keeping CAA regulations up-to-date within the training courses, student resources and assessments • Responsible for communicating with the CAA regarding policy and regulations If you want to learn about thermal imaging and/or drones, then look no further for expert help. I set up Divercol Productions in 1999, combining my passion for diving and filming. As a freelance cameraman, editor and producer, I have worked on numerous corporates and TV programmes, some of which have been award winning.
