I am passionate developing technically robust and innovative solutions to solve real business problems. In meeting Young Nguyen I was privileged not only to meet a true gentlemen, but also a founder of a remarkable technology company that has codified the science of having your people in the right place at the right time. Something that time and again has proven to be a key to unlocking untapped savings and increasing GOP. Before then, in my role as Vice Chairman of BMS International and in a supporting consulting role I played a key part in the acquisition and management of a portfolio of 13 hospitality and conferencing assets, including the Pont de Val resort in South Africa. When the Pont de Val resort was in a critical period, I took on the role of General Manager - achieving a significant growth in revenue and an all-time high in terms of guest satisfaction. Alongside this a focus on optimizing opening times, forecasting ticket sales and stopping less profitable activities played a key role in taking the company to another level. Earlier in my career I had the opportunity to work as part of an outstanding team at Deloitte, where as an Associate Director I worked with the boards of a large variety of companies, gaining a solid understanding of the realities of business and unlocking value. My professional certification as a fellow of the association of chartered certified accountants being applied to helping drive value creation.
While in the role of Vice Chairman of the board of the asset owner BMS International, I took on the role of General Manager for Pont de Val during a critical period - achieving a significant growth in revenue and an all-time high in terms of guest satisfaction.
