During my time in Scientific Games Worldwide I worked in the area of assembling gaming machines. I under took various tasks at different work stations on an assembly line where Nevada gaming machines were produced. This job entailed the installation of many different components i.e. touch screens, note acceptors, speakers, coin mechanisms, card reader and motherboard. My primary task was the wiring of the custom PC which was essentially the processing unit of the Nevada machine. This work experience allowed me to gain valuable experience whilst understanding the importance of working as part of a team. I also acquired an appreciation for the utilization and efficient delegation of my time in order to complete daily tasks as outlined below: Manual assembly of hardware components Routing of wires for various components Adhering to company directives to ensure product passes quality control Delivering of finished machines in order to meet the daily quota Function testing- identifying defects and recording and submitting defect cards to line manager
In the course of my time in Magna Donnelly Ltd I worked on an assembly line where the fabrications of PCB boards were made. The various work stations were solder baths, contacts machine and function testing. In the course of my time here I gained a good understanding of the principles behind printed circuit boards and the knowledge of how to safely handle static sensitive electronic devices.
