My role at Fitz is building strong alliances between our Fitz studio partners and showcasing our company value to local Vancouver corporations and their employees. The Fitz platform makes it simple for employees to take full advantage of diverse fitness activities that make it always new and exciting to keep fit and try something new. In my business development role I am constantly recruiting new studio partners looking to fill their empty class spots and corporations looking to improve employee morale and results in the workplace.
DECO Windshield Repair is Canada's largest mobile windshield repair company. With over 200 locations nationwide, DECO has radically transformed the automotive industry by promoting the green alternative to windshield replacements. DECO Windshield Repair can be found from April-October at major retail outlets such as shopping centres and retail outlets and offers a mobile service during the winter months in select cities. My role at DECO Windshield Repair was to provide exceptional customer service and leadership while facilitating the development of one of the countries fastest growing young companies. I was able to expand operations throughout the Okanagan from only 1 tent to 3 tents and also increased regional sales three fold. I was able to increase brand awareness by operating all locations 7 days a week, all summer season. In addition to hiring and training two other windshield technicians I was responsible for efficiently explaining the entire windshield repair process, making the appropriate and ethical repair sale, carrying out the entire repair process and providing client aftercare education.
While running my own Student Works Painting franchise from 2007-2009 I was able to produce $250,000+ of commercial and residential painting projects. I used continuous marketing through various methods to keep up a strong business presence in all three years. I delivered accurate and fair estimates using knowledge in my field and substantial amounts of creativity. These estimates were then sold through client relationships built from trust. I organized 2-week production schedules and daily production planners and used time management principles to keep projects starting and finishing on time. I successfully hired and fired when necessary and learned to incorporate small incentives into daily work to keep employees motivated and productive. A big part of my role was to solve client complaints quickly and efficiently and I learned that all problems may be resolved if dealt with immediately and if taken as a number one priority. Finally, I guaranteed quality work and realized that referrals come from a job well done.
