I am motivated, curious, and creative. I enjoy discovering novel solutions to difficult problems using my background in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Scientist in the Research Group for a molecular diagnostics company that is working hard, because patients deserve better answers.
Early stage research role with focused individual contributions and project leadership. As a scientist I deliver diagnostic innovation, establishment of design feasibility, and optimization of assay workflows and components. From concept to kit, I work to develop nucleic acid based assays for genetic and oncology applications across a variety of platforms.
As a research assistant at Lynntech, I worked in various capacities to facilitate the writing and execution of fast-paced grant-based industry research. New ideas, projects, and research are constantly developed from the multidisciplinary teams at Lynntech, which has afforded me the opportunity to observe and work with a large variety of chemical and biochemical techniques and methodologies. My work often includes assay design and method development while experimenting with novel technologies or applications. In addition to most classic micro and molecular biology techniques, I also worked with self-assembling DNA nanotechnology, label-free biosensing, aptamer selections, and novel PCR methodolgies.
Working as a server at Madden's Casual Gourmet, I was responsible for the total control of each of my assigned guest's mealtime enjoyments from the start to finish of their visit. I had extensive familiarity with the menu, wines, and pairing as described by Chef Peter Madden. As the primary interaction between the customers and the restaurant, it was my duty to provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for each guest, on every visit. Recognizing and appreciating regular customers was expected.
I worked for 7 summers with the city of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department. In my final summer as Pool Manager and Swim Lesson Supervisor I supervised, trained, and scheduled all employees at Lake Creek Municipal Pool in Round Rock, Texas. These duties also included oversight of facility maintenance, upkeep, cash, and consumables. As the primary contact with Lake Creek Pool, I communicated with area schools, day cares, and community parents on various issues including timing of visits, scheduling private parties, and distribution of lesson information and paperwork.
