About

Over my 15+ year career, I have worn every hat in the HR space there is. Usually it's a Patagonia Trucker hat or an O's hat, but you catch my drift. I get excited at the intersection of the full Talent Lifecycle and then leveraging Data to manage those aspects. There is so much useful data that can be used in crafting a highly effective Talent Strategy where you who to hire, where to hire them, how to hire them, when to hire them, and most importantly...why to hire them. This includes setting up and properly using the right ATS, data platform, sourcing tools, and pairing them to the organizational tech stack. I see AI as a tool, not a replacement for the Talent and People functions and am excited to continue to see it's usage in the field. My goal is to empower recruiters, teams, hiring managers, and organizations to hire and retain awesome people. I am an ally and advocate for DEI initiatives to further that goal ensuring that we eliminate bias and obstacles so that everyone has a fair and positive candidate experience. I have over 17 years of experience focused on Recruitment & Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Labor Negotiations, Classification & Compensation, HRIS, and pretty much every facet of Human Resources. I love to build and empower teams to be their best. I push myself enhance my hand's on experience with the education and technical aptitude; whether that be obtaining my MBA or Strategic Human Resources Leadership (SHRL) certificate from the Human Capital Institute. Knowledge is power. When I am not hiring awesome people, you can find me making divot holes on the golf course, walking my dogs (or you can see them walking me), watching the Orioles, Ravens, Arsenal, enjoying a local craft beer, and exploring national parks and forests. There is also usually curly headed wildman following me around and laughing hysterically at my awful dad jokes.
