Lara Martins is a Climate Executive, German Chancellor Fellow, Youth G20 Delegate and ForbesBLK leader. I am a highly qualified professional with a degree in Advertising and Entrepreneurship from PUC-Rio and an MBA in Project Management from IAG PUC-Rio Business School. I also studied entrepreneurship, innovation, social innovation and sustainability. I am passionate about sustainability and social impact. I have extensive experience working with social enterprises and large organizations in Brazil, such as Shell, Natura, Vale, Sistema B/B Lab/B Corporations and the UN Global Compact Brazil Network. My background also includes working with sustainable businesses in South America and Europe. As a Brazilian Y20 delegate in 2020 and participant in COP26 in Glasgow 2021, UK, I have also gained international recognition. Currently, I am a German Chancellor Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, where I am conducting research on climate governance in the private sector.
The project I am leading is the Collaborative Action Platform, a multi-stakeholder platform that addresses a local challenge of international importance. In collaboration with leaders and experts from various sectors, we aim to strengthen solutions for future urban living in Brazil by promoting fair and equitable climate adaptation and nature-based solutions.
The Brazil Action Platform is a multi-stakeholder initiative focused on a Brazilian challenge from the G20, in 2024, to the COP30, in 2025.
Gerenciamento do desenvolvimento de uma rede de think tanks nacionais e internacionais (T30) a fim de monitorar e influenciar as principais agendas internacionais durante a presidência brasileira no G20, BRICS+ e COP30. Essa iniciativa é uma parceira do CEBRI com o iCS e visa reposicionar o Brasil e sua sociedade civil no cenário global das mudanças climáticas. O foco é em temas cruciais como governança e multilateralismo, finanças climáticas, comércio e democracia.
