I'm a language teacher by profession but now into permaculture. I used to be and always passionate about nature and the environment until I was introduced to permaculture. I was motivated by one of the permaculture principles that says "there is no waste." I found out that what we have so many "waste" in Ghana which could be used as a resource. So I decided to follow my passion to help save ourselves and the environment. I therefore volunteered at Ghana Permaculture Institute after which I started Kumi Perma Ecovillage Ghana.
In permaculture there is no such thing as "waste." What we call "waste is just an unutilized resource. One organism’s "waste" is another’s food. In Ghana we are not valuing and making use of all the resources that are available to us. At Kumi Perma Ecovillage Ghana we use waste as a resource. We are into tree planting, tree nursery, plant fiber extraction, healthy living, land reclamation and things related to permaculture. We are very passionate about caring and protecting the environment.
