I consider myself a highly strategically oriented person with a fable for complex projects and strategic developments. Having worked more than 10 years in the railway business I advanced crucial skills such as Leadership, Project Management, Strategic Management to name a few. I strive in building strategies for new teams and business units, optimising a company's process landscape in an engineering environment but also being close to customers during the aquistion phase as well as during the project realisation phase. I'm a versatile, proactive and strong leader used to work very autonomously loving to work with great people. During 7 years of leadership responsibility of a dedicated engineering group for the most complex IT systems on trains I know what it means to generate understanding of complex matters to the upper management as well as to create, transform and lead a successful engineering group.
• Consulting of rail operators and manufacturers in terms of cybersecurity strategy to manage regulations like NIS-2, CRA, CySec Rail (CH) • Cybersecurity risk and threat vector analysis of various rolling stock fleets • Creation and implementation of cybersecurity workshops for rail operators and train manufacturers (focus: operation, maintenance, system architecture) • Requirement development cybersecurity, PIS & electrical system for tenders of new passenger rolling stock • Project management & electrical requirements engineering / conceptual design for retrofit tender
• Gaining proficiency in Spanish language • Achieving life long goals by visiting world wonders and remote nature paradises • Surpassing physical and psychological challenges - i.e. mountain climbing above 6'000m
• Leadership and strategic development of the ICT System Integration Competence Center - Company-wide leadership role • Technical responsibility of the group: passenger information, Wi-Fi, passenger counting, audio, mobile signal amplifiers, network technologies • Staff management & development - ICT architects and system engineers • Inter division / branch ressource planning of dedicated ICT engineers with other line managers • Defining strategic goals in collaboration with other departments such as Product Management, Strategic Purchasing, Service, Sales • Initiating strategic development projects (e.g., IT platform for trains) • Responsible for production-related engineering of hardware components to supplier software development • In-depth international supplier management (commercial & technical) • Development of process optimizations (e.g., between engineering & production) • Personnel recruitment & planning beyond the location
• Deputy manager of Group Leader Passenger Information Systems department • Technical scope of responsibility: Passenger information systems, Passenger WiFi systems, CCTV systems, Passenger counting systems, Mobile network repeater systems, Industrial railway proved Ethernet backbones • Project based supplier evaluation & selection on all type of Stadler train families • Budgeting & offer creation for new projects and railway industry customers • Project management of above mentioned systems of running projects in all project phases (technical specifications, purchase, construction phase, type tests, warranty phase, system extensions etc.) • Responsible for Ethernet network technologies (i.e. redundancy, bandwidth, VLAN, network management)

• 2 months work on the topic "Backplane technologies" like CompactPCI, microTCA, VME and other common technolgies (used as the basis for all computer based electronic devices and modules) • Goal: to find a technology which can be used as a standard platform for most of the new produced trains to avoid proprietary platforms which are mostly more expensive in the long-term view • Technology research/appreciation • Concrete project specifications
