About

As Head of Practice Learning and a member of the College of Health & Society Senior Leadership Team, I am responsible for ensuring strategic leadership, operational oversight, and compliance for all practice learning activities across the College. I am experienced in the design and development of apprenticeships, undergraduate and masters degrees/modules, and non-accredited work based learning programmes. This includes quality assurance and compliance with external licensing and regulatory bodies including ESFA, IfATE and QAA as well as collaborative working with higher education institutions, consumers and training providers. I have a background in Higher Education teaching, learning and assessment, particularly the development of blended and digitally enhanced learning programmes, as well as industry experience within the public sector. I have previously acted as an independent strategic advisor to police forces on topics such as professional standards, trust and confidence, and armed policing. My research into policing has been published in both journals and edited books and I have extensive experience of delivering training and conference presentations relating to culture, diversity, inclusion and psychological safety in a policing context.
