About

I lead design teams with a bias for action and a love for solving hard problems. With 15+ years of experience, I've built teams that balance strategic thinking with scrappy execution—teams that don't just talk about the work, they realize outcomes. • I'm an information architect at heart with a knack for operationalizing anything. • I help teams move from implicit to explicit, from stuck to unstuck. • I work best with cross-functional partners who care about impact. • I'm always looking for the next challenge that'll push me (and my team) to grow. 📍 I'm currently a UX Manager at Qualtrics, leading design for the Reporting & Analytics Platform. My team serves 1 million monthly active users and owns the experience that drives 36% of all platform engagement. We're building the future of how analysts make sense of their data—using AI, dashboards, and advanced analytics to turn insights into action. I partner with cross-functional leaders to shape platform strategy and deliver outcomes that move the business forward. 🌟 Core Competencies: leadership and management, operational excellence, strategic planning, user experience design, information architecture, user research, accessibility, inclusive design. I am passionate about creating seamless and intuitive experiences that empower people to achieve more. Give me your hairiest, most ambiguous problem. 🧼 Soapboxes: Empathy is not enough. Everyone is a designer. Kill your darlings. Clear is kind. The future of work is remote. 🌈 Past Clients: The ALS Association, Peace Corps, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, The Gates Foundation, The MacArthur Foundation, and many more. 🎤 Speaking Engagements: I've presented on UX, design research, accessibility, data-informed design, content strategy, and design systems at conferences like The O’Reilly Design Conference, The Nonprofit Technology Conference, Good Tech Fest, Big Design, and DrupalCon.
