Quality Innovation Team - Leading quality efforts for the Hermes 1.0 Mat Slab construction project - Supporting ISO 9001 inspections - Conducting internal assessment in design and testing
As a Quality Engineer II supporting the Hermes reactor project, I collaborate cross-functionally with testing, manufacturing, and construction teams to ensure processes and deliverables meet quality requirements. My work includes conducting internal audits and assessments, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the development of systems to ensure the reliability and safety.
Student led project for inertial confinement nuclear fusion reactor design: - Cutting Edge of ICF R&D - Neutronics Simulation (PHITS) and Solidworks design - Evaluation of Tritium Breeding Ratio (TBR) and efficiency of tritium production in relation to neutron interactions and blanket composition.
Perform analysis using Chromeleon Software on: - High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) - Gas Chromatography-Flame Ion Detection (GC-FID) Gained knowledge of day-to day laboratory upkeep and sample preparation Other Processes include Extraction in Dionex ASE 350, moisture content analysis, MARS6 Designing and running experiments within the lab to optimize the efficiency of analysis
Secured an EPA approval for Truox’s product Cryptolyte Cryptolyte is a revolutionary product for cryptosporidium treatment in pools to prevent the spread of this waterborne illness. Kept up with an intensive lab analysis schedule of 4 to 8 full analysis of product per week Utilized general Chemistry skills to monitor pH, chlorine dioxide levels, CT values, etc. Worked with live Cryptosporidium Gleaned valuable skills in Adaptation and communication in a lab environment
