Working in a field that is often composed of chaotic environments, I depend on my experience, knowledge, and sense of humor to meet deadlines while exceeding expectations. Responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality of a certified Woman-Owned small business specializing in Environmental Science, Construction Management, and Disaster Recovery. Has spent tenure creating protocols and processes for the organization as it grew its business and resources. Has greatly improved and continues to maintain financial health of the enterprise and created efficiencies through the development and implementation of these processes and procedures. Daily interaction with owner and staff to ensure execution on multiple projects while in compliance with scope and contractual requirements. Maintains the business certifications with federal and state level agencies, strategically seeks out new business, performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual assessments of all projects (among these a review of Financial, Contractual, Operational), Manages Risk internally and externally, and provides direction to staff performing contracted services to city, state, federal, and industry client organizations.
As the SVP of Corporate Operations and Strategy, I was tasked with implementing the company’s goals and strategies, while managing the staff of the company. I worked directly with the Director of Finance and Head of Accounting to help design budgets and oversee the various departments’ expenditures and strategies. I mentored, motivated and coached other directors and team members to be efficient and effective, ensuring that all teams were strategically aligned with the company’s goals to meet the desired outcomes. This included evaluating operating processes; ensuring operations meet timelines and budgets; increasing office efficiency of the various departments; ensuring best practices are at the forefront of all projects. Additionally, my role was further defined as: 1. Corporate Operations – Made best efforts to identify, qualify and secure new opportunities for contract performance resulting in revenue growth and expanded customer base associated with the company’s four (4) main lines of operations: • Training & Assessments; Granite Creek Range Complex Expeditionary Logistics & Construction • C5ISR (Command; Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) • Staff Augmentation; Consulting • IT Services 2. Business Development and Growth – Identified, qualified and secured new opportunities for contract performance resulting in revenue growth and expanded customer base. 3. Corporate Strategy (20%) – Drove the strategic planning for the organization and directly work with sector businesses to grow opportunities. I was responsible for meeting business objectives, increase market awareness, implement strategies, create sales and marketing plans, build, expand and grow revenue goals. Authored, advocated owner approval, and implemented / continuously revised a strategic plan addressing target markets, specific customers and opportunities, established weighted revenue and EBIT goals, and relationship building targets.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all FAR/DFAR/DOSARs compliance throughout company. Introduced, authored, and implemented enterprise policies and practices to ensure company compliance with Federal regulation(s) to include Contract Management, Subcontract Management, Certified Purchasing System Review (CPSR), Anti-Human Trafficking, and contract deliverables, Serves as company point of contact to all customers – Federal and industry partners. Coordinates the completion and delivery of all contract deliverables and any outgoing company data to external parties. Responsible for providing strategic direction for mission-critical goals, policies, and procedures related to Federal guidance, however, routinely contributes to the daily and near-future operations of business development, program management, human resources, corporate security, business operations, proposal management, and accounts receivable. Interfaces with ownership and executive leadership daily and attends executive leadership meetings, as scheduled, as a trusted member and company decision-maker.
Legally able to bind the Certified Small Business company to Government contracts upon review, negotiation, and acceptance of contract terms. Provided continuous business development, business operations, program management, and finance support necessary to maintain day-to-day and long-term functionality and contract compliance. Responsible for preparing all contract data requirements lists (CDRLs) for submission to end users. Large role in CMMI Development Level III appraisal. Maintained all electronic records including SAM entry, GSA eMod/eBuy registration, AFNET and subsequent system accounts, GovTribe, and FedBusOps. Created and refined processes to maximize efficiencies as our small company grew – both in revenue and resources. Worked side-by-side with executive leadership to manage, coordinate, and execute daily and future business decisions. Lead the reissue of ITI’s GSA IT Schedule 70 contract vehicle.
Assessed department and enterprise identifying opportunities to implement changes to existing processes and protocols to increase efficiency while continuing to comply with corporate and federal regulations/policies. Created processes, policies, and procedures when not already in existence while improving upon those in place. Daily interface with senior and executive leadership to report findings, present possible solutions, and status stakeholders both internal and external to the department. Managed a team of six employees providing support efforts to various life cycle stages within the Contracts Management Group.
