I have broadened my passion for systems, organisations, and engines by studying Aerospace Engineering at Bachelor of Science level and combined it with my professional sailing career to gain a multiangular vision. As the next step on my path, I would like to build and root my prospective career in the corporate sector, where I wish to blend my on-site and theoretical knowledge together.
My role as Head of Bodrum Region is organizing the service schedules for the boats on the Mediterranean coast. We met the requests of over 100 boats which are not only sailing boats but also power boats that have a brand of Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Jeanneau, Prestige, and Sacs in the whole summer session with 9 technicians. Purchasing for the office needs, technical needs, and the boats' needs with the help purchasing department in our center office also gave me talent in the area of purchasing management. Combining many different disciplines such as electricity, hydraulics, mechanics and structure in a boat has enabled me to increase my engineering skills in the yacht industry.
I experienced delivering new sailing boats to new customers, servicing them under warranty, and adding features to the new boats to make the boats useful at sea. While I took care of the owners of Hanse Yachts, Moody, and Excess Catamarans, I also gained the ability to work with not only technicians but also suppliers for the sailing boats.
My role as the Lead Instructor has covered various fields such as training students as well as junior instructors, analyzing their growth, developing business strategies, preparing feasibility reports, asking critical questions, coordinating communication within the team and clients. Sailing has also provided me the professional abilities of taking immediate actions while facing with unexpected challenges, being open to change, team management and directing complex situations by delegating responsibilities as well as having competitive spirit.
I gained experience in working on the factory management plans of a top-ranking company.
I followed the operation of machine elements in the defense industry production process.
Work and Travel In addition to gaining experience of working with different cultures in a different geography, I learned to cope with the challenges of the service sector.
