Decipher documents submitted with each insurance claim to approve, partially approve, or deny claims based on findings and specific policy coverage. Determine how much reimbursement is owed, if anything, and issue payment through the appropriate channels. Explain decisions to claimants in writing or over the phone. Provide guidance on next steps or appeals. Log claim data, decisions, and correspondence in claims management systems. Follow insurance regulations and company policies to ensure fair and lawful processing. Identify possible fraud or inconsistencies among claims and investigate further if needed.
