Having worked in both multinational companies and the public service, I am currently taking a planned career break to be a Stay-at-Home Parent. Full-time caregiver and household manager while maintaining connections to the HR industry
• In conjunction with the HR Director, develop HR strategies and support with their implementation • Provide support to management and employees on how to understand and interpret company policy • Management of the entire recruitment and selection function • Planning and conducting on-boarding of all new employees • Liaising with the Payroll bureau to allow accurate and timely processing of company salaries • Drafting and issuing contracts of employment • Providing advice on employment law issues • Full involvement in the disciplinary procedure • Manage and promote performance management within the company • Grievance management • Employee engagement - participate in, represent and rollout various HR related projects • Management of all company leave requests, including but not limited to annual, maternity, parental, paternity and parent's leave • Update, maintain and manage HR Database • Assist the HR Director as required on various projects, e.g. rolling out a new KPI based PM system
• Main HR point of contact for almost 800 employees over 4 European bases • Support these employees on any HR queries they may have and facilitate actions to resolve these in a timely manner • Work closely with line managers in dealing with employment issues • Full involvement in disciplinary and grievance investigations • Involvement in employment law cases including working with lawyers to provide accurate information on various cases • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory legislation and HR best practice • Develop and update HR Policies and Procedures as and when required • Produce weekly management reports and monthly turnover reports • Personnel administration - contracts, payroll processing, letter writing, absenteeism monitoring, maternity and other leave applications • Maintain HR data base and personnel files for all employees • Involvement in pay negotiations • Internal Communications - including travel throughout Europe to meet staff • Insuring all relevant documentation has been received and issued to employees in each base such as E101s/A1s, E106s, 12A forms, and PPS numbers.
