Chuks is a Certified Energy Manager supporting industries to identify, assess and implement energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy opportunities that improve systems and performance. Through this, Chuks has helped organisations and industries (manufacturing, financial services, hospitality, retail…) achieve up to 50% cost savings on energy expenses and reducing carbon emissions. In addition, Chuks has supported five large scale industries in Nigeria to integrate comprehensive energy management systems and achieve ISO50001 EnMS certification. As a climate enthusiast, Chuks seeks to promote sustainable energy solutions using energy modelling, technical and economic simulations to meet international environmental quality standards. Chuks is a National Senior Energy Expert for the One-Stop Investment Platform for up-scaling Renewable and Energy Efficiency investments in Nigeria and the Implementation of Energy Management and Energy Efficiency Networks for industries in Nigeria. The project is supported by the European Union and the German Government. I'm responsible for supporting Financial Institutions (FIs) across Africa, who have a goal in mapping out and expanding their green portfolio with technical reviews of their overall lending portfolio. To achieve this, my work involves a comprehensive review of the FI's climate related transactions, building internal capacity within the FI on climate eligibility via trainings and working with our investment teams to support the FI's strategy based on the output of the comprehensive review. In the end, my support allows FIs to increase its green lending portfolio and mitigate climate associated risks for themselves and their clients, creating a more sustainable business environment and economy.

- Formation and management of stakeholders for the Lead User Group, to provide feedback on concepts, designs and functionality of the Investment Platform for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency. - Organize and facilitate capacity building workshops for the profiling of investment opportunities in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. - Assist other international experts in carrying out their assignment in Nigeria - Develop training materials for capacity workshops on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency - Provide capacity building training to government officials on innovative business models for ESCO
