As an emerging passionate and motivated student Exercise Physiologist, I have a strong interest towards providing the best possible care for every client from all walks of life. Shaped by a strong foundation in chronic disease management, rheumatology, autoimmune diseases and musculoskeletal injuries, I am very enthusiastic about delivering evidence-based, individualised care interventions that promote self-efficacy, improve quality of life and support long-term positive behaviour changes. Through my recent experiences, I have also developed a keen interest towards cardiac rehabilitation and delivering appropriate industry-standard care for clients with cardiopulmonary pathologies. I am hoping to work with like-minded individuals as we strive to improve the health of individuals in the community and to bridge the gap between Exercise Physiology services and the rheumatology industry. Responsibilities: - Managed a large caseload of different chronic illnesses including cardiovascular, neurological, metabolic and musculoskeletal clientele - Conducted initial consults and review assessments including obtaining comprehensive subjective and objective information. - Constructed effective evidence-based exercise treatment plans for all 1-on-1 and group clients - Provided sound education to clients around the benefits of exercise and positive behavioural changes to help manage their conditions
Responsibilities: - Assisted with patient transfers and mobility to and from the ward - Conducted initial assessments and preparing client reports to establish and track baseline measures - Assisted in exercise delivery for subacute neurological and cardiometabolic in-patient clientele
Collaborated with accredited exercise physiologists and other placement students to deliver and prescribe exercises to new and existing clients from all walks of life. Conducted exercise assessments to determine baseline data and to compare results to normative values. Developed meaningful relationships with clients.
