About

I am qualified in New York and England & Wales. Over my long career, I have gained broad corporate and commercial experience, including at AmLaw 100 firms (in New York and London) and in-house with a Fortune 500 company. My comprehensive skill set enables me to achieve client objectives while minimizing risk. I am particularly adept at working in multicultural settings and have lived in several European countries. I have served international clients in many industries. I adapt and transition quickly and seamlessly to new responsibilities and environments. With a record of resolute problem solving, I have partnered successfully with corporate leadership and provided clear-cut, practical, business-centric advice and solutions in a number of areas, including: Commercial Transactions ● Contract Drafting & Negotiating ● Corporate Compliance ● Securities Transactions ● Corporate Law & Governance ● Corporate Financing Examples of my diverse accomplishments include: ■ Resolving a fee dispute arising from ambiguous contract language for a major British telecom company, saving more than £3M in annual contract fees. ■ Spearheading AARP’s “Governance Reform Project,” including formulating recommendations that enabled the Board to rank-order further implementation of my suggested reforms. ■ Developing successful defense strategies for insurance clients at White & Williams, thereby avoiding hundreds of millions of dollars in liability in litigation involving failed structured financings. ■ Closing combined $70M sale-leaseback / turnkey construction and outfitting of Pfizer’s international distribution facility, negotiating and drafting contracts with all counterparties. My supervisors and colleagues find me easy to work with and have commended me often for the quality of my work product, work ethic and attention to detail.
