• Support in the precommisioning, commissioning and acceptance of the 125 MVA 220/33/6.6kV Alumina Refinery distribution system including: o 6.6kV vaccum circuit breakers o Transformer rated 125 MVA 220/33KV, 50MVA 33/6.6kV and 50MVA 33/0.69kV o Distribution and variable speed drive (VSD) cables • Support in the precommisioning and acceptance of: o 5MW 6.6 kV motors and associated Liquid resistance starters o 6.6kV motor feeder and VSD’s o 490V motor drives and VSD’s o Associated PLC and control systems • Operations Team support for: o Overview of electrical systems design o Monitor quality of construction and installation of electrical systems • Operations Team attestation of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of 690V switchgear and distribution transformers • Assessment and development of maintenance and spare parts strategies for electrical systems and equipment • Reliability analysis, implementation of improvements, trouble shooting and technical support for but not limited to: o 6.6kV motor feeder and VSD’s o 490V motor drives and VSD’s o General refinery electrical systems • Training, assessment and authorisation of Low Voltage Electrical workers • Training and assessment of HV switching operators • Electrical Safety Committee member and Electrical Safety Professional representative for AlTaweelah Alumina refinery operations team.
Responsibility for all plant electrical transmission and distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors,. Optimization of electrical safety, maintenance, reliability and energy conservation measures. •Conduct Reliability and Maintenance of motors, motor control centers, generators, relays, PLCs, generator controls, circuit breakers, isolators, VSD, transformers and the distribution network – for one alumina plant, mines, wells, mud stacking area and port •Prepare material costs and timing estimates, reports and design specifications •Complete scopes of work, bill of material, request for proposal and material verification for projects •Perform root cause analysis on electrical systems and plant processes and make engineering changes to resolve problems •Develop and implement maintenance programs •Read, interpret and modify drawings to include P&ID, single line, schematic, layout, civil and mechanical •Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders
