A time server Boilemaker under the MOD(n) at HMNB Chatham, working my way from journey man , to technical planner, estimator & technical supervisor before being relocated to Devonport. When DML undertook the management of the dockyard. Since 1984 have worked on & planned as first a project engineer (reactor mechanical) then a Senior project engineer (RM)DAP on the LOP(r) of all classes of submarines, including the long term layup of the S class prior to defueling. I have since retirement held four fixed term contacts with Matchtech & Babcock's planning V class LOP(r)s & 2nd refuel of V5.
