Mechanical Engineer with a passion for cutting edge design. I am recent graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics. I consider myself to be a proactive, responsible, and result-oriented professional. My schooling has provided me with deep knowledge on applied mathematics and science and many of the ways they are used in specific industries. I'm currently working in the grad program as a project engineer for Glanbia Nutritionals at Southwest Cheese in Clovis, New Mexico.
Working at Southwest Cheese, a world class cheese and whey protein factory, I lead CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) Upgrade Projects. All the way from initial conception, planning, financial analysis, through contractor selection, project submission, completion of actual work and commissioning, I push these projects forward for the continual improvement of our site and betterment of my organization. I collaborate with several contractors, safety experts and other plant personnel to ensure that work is done to the highest standard including managing all required permits in compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA and NMDA.
As part of a general contractor, I play a role in coordinating subcontractors, architects, engineers, and ownership to move forward on multifamily and retail projects. Once the plans have been created, someone needs to organize and oversee the work that is done to ensure it is being done properly, efficiently, and safely. That's us. I put out fires from 8 to 5 and start other fires when I need to. The key is knowing which ones to start.
