Research assistant with Dr. Tanweer Azher at the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Studying the clinical outcomes and treatments of patients infected with non-tuberculous mycobacterium in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Projects: - Computational and experimental mechanistic investigations of the C-Si/B-Br exchange reaction in phenyl and extended aryl systems (September 2018-August 2019). - Deposition of TNT sensor molecules on cantilevers in collaboration with the Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography, Memorial University (May 2019-August 2019). - Computational study of strained aromatic compounds, cyclophanes, and pyrenophanes in collaboration with Dr. Graham Bodwell (May 2017-May 2019). - Computational study of corner and cove substituted tetrabenzocoronenes (July 2016-November 2018).
Teaching Assistant for Introductory Chemistry 1010, General Chemistry 1050 and Introduction to Organic Chemistry 2400. Responsibilities include: - Giving introductory talks about the experiments and procedure. - Circulating around the lab to ensure students are completing the experiment and to answer any questions. - Correcting weekly lab reports.
