I am an experienced Senior Manager and Director with a strong track record in the mineral extraction, mining and metals and transport industries. I have accumulated over two decades of experience working in multinational companies and dealing with cross-border issues. I come with a proven track record in managing various aspects of Corporate Finance, Debt issuance, Multinational Insurance programs, Risk Financing, Enterprise Risk Management and multiple Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures.
As Head of Corporate Finance at Ferroglobe I played a leading role in the refinancing of $350m Senior Unsecured Notes in 2021 alongside the issuance of new $60m Super Senior Secured Notes and a $40m equity raise. I led the due diligence phases and played a leading role in discussions with noteholders and their representatives in relation to covenants as well as collateral and security related matters. In addition, I have responsibility for managing Ferroglobe’s relationship with credit rating agencies and lenders. Whilst retaining my Risk Management responsibilities I Chair Ferroglobe PLC’s Crisis Committee in response to the Ukraine/Russia conflict and previously chaired Ferroglobe PLC’s COVID-19 Crisis Committee from the beginning of the pandemic until the end of 2021.
At Ferroglobe I'm responsible for managing the global insurance programs of one of the world's largest producers of silicon metal and metal alloys. I also oversee corporate risk and the business's risk management process. Achievements include; - c.2m USD decrease in the total cost of risk during my first year with the company - Increased funding under an AR Securitisation Program by c.35m USD - Fostering strategic relationships across London and New York markets - Creation of the business's Global Health & Safety policy - Harmonisation of key global processes and cost reduction initiatives
Responsibility for placement of insurance coverage, and risk management across all Hanson companies in the UK. Which includes 500+ locations and 1.8bn GBP turnover.
