Responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and documentation of all imaging equipment including XRAY, CT, and MRI rooms and ultrasound equipment at various locations throughout the Houston metropolitan area. Met with nurses and facility administrators on a regular basis to discuss any pending or upcoming problems/events of their respective departments. Maintained business relationships with vendors to keep costs for parts and materials to a minimum.
Responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and documentation of all medical equipment within the hospital and off-site locations with a team of five Biomedical Technicians. Met with nurses and facility administrators on a regular basis to discuss any pending or upcoming problems/events of their respective departments.
Responsible for all technical operations for three mid-sized chronic dialysis facilities. Responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and documentation of over 200 dialysis machines, water treatment systems, and dialysis related medical equipment throughout the three dialysis facilities and the entire Northwestern Indiana region. Responsible for annual training Nurses and Patient Care Technicians on technical and safety aspects of dialysis machines and water treatment systems. Met with Nurses, Facility Administrators, and Medical Directors on monthly, quarterly, and on an ad hoc basis to discuss any pending or upcoming problems/events of their respective dialysis facility.
Responsible for all technical operations for one large chronic dialysis facility and 2 small acute facilities. Responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and documentation of over 100 dialysis machines, water treatment systems, and dialysis related medical equipment throughout the three dialysis facilities. Responsible for the weekly and monthly testing of treated water used for dialysis to make sure it was within state regulations. Responsible for annual training Nurses and Patient Care Technicians on technical and safety aspects of dialysis machines and water treatment systems.
Responsible for Hardware and Software support of 200+ PC's running Windows 95, 98, ME, and 2000 and Mac's Running OS 8.6 and 9 in a medium sized company. Repaired, replaced, or upgraded any parts, operating systems or software packages on a host of both PC systems including Compaq Deskpro, iPaq, and Prosignia models, and Mac systems including Power Mac 7200, 8500, G3 (both desktop models as well as ‘blue and white’ models), G4, Power Book G3, iBook, and iMac systems. Responsible for maintenance for Hewlett-Packard brand Inkjet and Laser Printers throughout the company. Assisted the Network Administrator and Senior Network Engineer with various projects involving the Windows NT and Novell 3.12 fileservers. Responsible for setting up new user accounts on the Novell and Microsoft Exchange servers. Responsible for deploying, repairing, upgrading, and/or replacing parts, operating systems, and software packages for laptops employees use outside the office.
