Born on the west coast and currently living in New York City, I've always had a passion for coding. I love problem solving and have 8+ years of experience implementing those solutions. I have worked at companies of all sizes from pre-IPO startups to large enterprise companies. I specialize in databases and distributed back-end development. I am currently supporting an event-driven usage-based billing system processing millions of records hourly. I am a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in C#, Java, Typescript, React, and Redux. I have developed distributed systems using Sql Server, MongoDB, Kafka, RabbitMQ, REST apis, and more.
Responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining full stack web applications and .NET APIs. I write C# and Sql Server code to facilitate partners to make multi-currency payments to their payees through API calls. I participate in the design/architecture decisions to guarantee payment accuracy and speed. I maintain a React/Redux frontend website to collect tax information from payees to help submit W8 and W9 tax forms.
Responsible for set up and development of IoT solutions as part of the Deloitte IoT team, helping manufacturing plants modernize their plants. Primary DevOps resource to set up Sql Server/Postgres databases and IoT ingestion platforms. Created deployment and version control strategies. Software developer to convert time series data into useable dashboard information for plant managers and workers.
Provided IT support for institution’s technology department, managing approximately 50 computers and 30 iPads. Loaded computers and iPads with Microsoft Office package and tracking software. Created logging system to more effectively manage hardware when loaned out during school year.
