Christopher is a Middle Temple Scholar of 2023. Called to the Bar in 2022, Christopher was appointed as a Judicial Assistant of the Court of Final Appeal in the same year, where he spent a year conducting legal research on cases coming before the Court and preparing bench memoranda on appeals and leave applications for the Chief Justice, Permanent Judges, and Non-Permanent Judges. During the year, Christopher was assigned to assist Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury, former President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom; and Mr Justice Robert French, former Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia. Christopher is developing a broad civil and commercial practice with focus on contractual and loan disputes, company and insolvency matters (including winding up and bankruptcy petitions, derivative actions, and shareholder disputes), land disputes, and probate and matrimonial matters. He has been instructed by high net-wealth private clients, listed companies, and the Department of Justice to advise and act on a range of disputes on his own right, and has been regularly instructed by banks and licensed money lenders to act on debt recovery matters. He has also acted for the Immigration Department and statutory public bodies such as the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority. On the criminal side, Christopher appears regularly in the Magistrates’ Court and has been instructed to appear in the High Court for bail applications and mitigations. He also prosecute cases involving white-collar offences, such as money laundering, and offences involving offering / accepting advantages under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201). Christopher joined Chambers upon completion of pupillage with Mr Anson Wong SC JP, Mr Charles Chan SC, Mr Eugene Yim SC, Mr Valentine Yim and Mr Vincent Chen. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and is experienced in preparing legal documents in both simplified and traditional Chinese.
