About

As a frequent user and an inquisitively driven individual of both the creative and fundamental sides of IT, my passion for IT started at an early age. From dismantling electronics (controllers, consoles etc), troubleshooting software and hardware, and creating artistic pieces; I am eager to develop and learn new skills and strive to secure a position where I will continue to grow and build a lasting career that I love. • Yard Marshall at Amazon UK Services Ltd - DSO2
    Apr 2021 - Aug 2021 · 5 mos

During my time working for Amazon UK, I was part of a big team of Yard Marshalls where my role was to ensure the fluidity of inbound and outbound vehicles entering and leaving the Amazon warehouse. This consists of both vans and cars of all sizes and large commercial lorries bringing in goods from all over. To ensure everything went as smoothly as possible, communication was vital and so I was always in contact via walky-talky and other means with fellow Yard Marshals and more in their respective stations. This ensured that if any problem arise, we acted fast to keep the process moving. Besides this, my role also included unloading said products from their respective vehicles, prevent access by the general public to restricted areas, provide support to drivers and fellow team members and effectively control the yard as if it was my own. I was also trained to use hand forklifts and a variety of different skills and techniques which will prove to be useful in other fields.

  • Customer Assistant at Marks and Spencer
    Feb 2020 - May 2020 · 4 mos

Whilst working at M&S, I was trained to be a key salesmen in the Bakery and on the shop floor as a Customer Assistant. My main duties were to ensure all products were baked and ready before store opening/throughout the day and to provide outstanding service to all customers both in and outside the bakery at all times. This included keeping shelves fully stocked and packed with all goods that were sold within the bakery whilst also managing sales numbers and stock stored at all times. Time management was vital as strict deadlines were enforced to ensure maximum sales and proficiency of all products. During closed bakery hours, I would move onto till work, restocking/organising shelves on the salesfloor and respond efficiently to customer queries, including package pickups and questions to a wide variety of products sold within the store. This in itself peaked during the COVID-19 pandemic.
