As Director of Research Education, I'm building a training program for research administration from the ground up. With a combined 10+ years experience in research administration, I have the foundational knowledge to build the curriculum, but I'm pursuing my Master's in Learning and Organizational Change through Northwestern to help fill in the gaps with learning and development to make this program a success.
Build and manage comprehensive, University-wide research administration training across the full award lifecycle. Partner closely with schools, departments, and central offices served by OR to develop training that serves all by clarifying roles and responsibilities, while implementing process efficiencies. Lead the Research Training Advisory Group, leverage proven and emerging learning technologies, and measure/report training effectiveness. Informally lead and support a dynamic team of learning professionals, instructional designers, and trainers; establish policies and resources that "go beyond barriers" to serve the entire University research community.
Developed and maintained onboarding training curriculum for new hires in collaboration with Director and managers, incorporating feedback loops and performance metrics to improve efficacy Coordinated and facilitated research administration training program (GRASP) for new hires throughout McCormick’s departments as an introductory course in research administration topics Leveraged existing institutional information to create reference materials for McCormick RA staff to improve job effectiveness Utilized comprehensive knowledge of grant management process to recommend changes to policies or procedures in order to improve overall departmental efficiency
• Manage caseload of 30-45 patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric with various orthopedic diagnosis under both post-operative and conservative treatment plans • Maintain weekly target of 50 patient visits per week • Build professional relationships with physicians and support staff for improve interdisciplinary care • Generate creative and targeted interventions in order to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care • Collaborate with and manage physical therapy assistants for improved patient outcomes • Participate in efficiency committee to streamline clinic business practices and workflows • Spearhead work conditioning program, including performing evaluations and progress notes with OccuPro system, scheduling, and coordinating with patients’ care teams and case managers
• Acted as student liaison for prospective DPT students enrolling in Northwestern PT program • Worked with Admissions Committee members to plan and execute yearly Open House event for ~150 accepted and waitlisted students
